SPREAD:20 - 40 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Oval growth habit; dark green needles in clusters of 2, 4.75"–6.5" long, snap when bent; prefers well-drained site, tolerates sandy or gravelly soil.
LIMITATIONS:Local availability.
HARDINESS:SC, SE (Zone 2)
ORIGIN:Newfoundland, Manitoba, south to the mountains of Pennsylvania, west to Minnesota.
CULTIVARS:There are a few dwarf cultivars; but none known in Alaska.
