DISTINCTIONS:Showy pink-magenta flowers; arching stems; edible pale red fruit; large leaves; good for shade and to stabilize soil on a shady slope.
LIMITATIONS:Spreads and suckers; needs moisture if in full sun; dies back to ground each fall.
HARDINESS:SC, SE (Zone 3)
ORIGIN:New England, Appalachians
