DISTINCTIONS:Open, narrow, round-topped crown; compound leaf with 11 to 17 leaflets, toothed almost to the base; white flowers; clusters of orange-red to scarlet-red fruit; moist well-drained soil; sun; brilliant orange-yellow to reddish purple fall color.
LIMITATIONS:Unknown
HARDINESS:SC, SE (Zone 2)
ORIGIN:Eastern Canada north to Hudson Bay, south to Michigan and along the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina
CULTIVARS:Most Sorbus cultivars are of S. aucuparia
