HEIGHT:6 - 8 feet
SPREAD:3 - 5 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Upright shrub; white flowers in large clusters; red ¼” fruit persist through winter providing interest; dark green waxy leaves turn brilliant red in autumn; full sun to partial shade; prefers well drained acidic soils but is adaptable.
LIMITATIONS:Spreads by suckers forming large colonies; can have a leggy appearance.
HARDINESS:SE (Zone 4)
ORIGIN:Massachusetts to Minnesota and south to Florida
CULTIVARS:‘Brilliantissima’ shinier green leaves and outstanding vivid red autumn color; heavier flowering and fruit set.
