DISTINCTIONS:5"-7" clusters of white flowers in mid-summer; shade tolerant; could be grown as a perennial which dies to the ground in SC.
LIMITATIONS:Coarse textured plant; needs moist soil; may die back to ground on exposed sites and not survive an especially harsh winter in SC.
HARDINESS:SE, SC (Zone 3)
ORIGIN:Louisiana and Florida, north to New York and Iowa
CULTIVARS:‘Annabelle’ large uniform flower heads held up on the stem; superior selection.; ‘Grandiflora’ Hills of Snow Hydrangea; floppy flower clusters; Zone 5
