DISTINCTIONS:Upright oval form; bright green trifoliate leaves; olive green bark becoming fissured with age; striking flowers are yellow, fragrant, and grow in 6- to 10"-long pendulous racemes; fruit noticeable but not ornamental.
LIMITATIONS:Short life span; poisonous compound contained in all parts of plant, choose location with care.
HARDINESS:SE (Zone 5)
ORIGIN:Southern Europe
CULTIVARS:‘Pendulum’ slender, weeping branches; lemon yellow flowers.
