HEIGHT:15 - 25 feet
SPREAD:10 - 20 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Slow growing tree or large shrub; usually with several trunks; young twigs are shiny red; clusters of white flowers in early summer; yellow or red fruit may be used for jelly.
LIMITATIONS:Thicket forming; stiff twigs feel thorny to touch.
HARDINESS: SC, SE (Zone 3)
ORIGIN: Northern California to Gulf of Alaska coast
