DISTINCTIONS:Dwarf, rounded form;, dark green, aromatic needles, silver-blue below; cones purple, 2”-3” long and held upright; grows on a variety of soil types and prefers organic soils with pH 4-6.5; will grow in full shade to full sun.
LIMITATIONS:Requires high moisture; protect from winter winds.
HARDINESS: SC, SE (Zone 3)
ORIGIN: North Alberta to Labrador, south to Pennsylvania
CULTIVARS:‘Prostrata’ Low, spreading, bun-shaped, 1' high by 3' spread; full sun, very small needles.
