This website is a joint project between the Alaska Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), the University of Alaska Cooperative Extension Service (CES), and the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources Community Forestry Program (DNR).

The goal is to provide information to landscape architects, allied professionals, and the general public as they research plants that are native to Alaska, naturalized in the state, and plantings that have become invasive ornamentals. This website is an educational tool on using the right plant for the right place, and developing landsscapes that fit into our native environs.

If you will be submitting images for inclusion on this site. Please note that the images must be in JPEG format and cannot exceed 550 kb. In addition, the dimensions must be 600-760 x 400-510 (portrait or landscape).
